Practice Areas

Areas of Practice

When life happens, I can assist you in the following areas:

Business

Business law is a broad category which covers many areas of running a business. It may involve business formation, contracts, employment law, property and, when you unable to avoid it, litigation. If you are a small business in need of advice or expertise in the areas listed above, please give me a call. If your conflict has progressed to the point of litigation, I can handle your case with efficiency and effectiveness.

CONTRACTS

Contract law covers oral and written agreements associated with exchange of goods and services, money, and properties. It includes topics such as the nature of contractual obligations, limitation of actions, freedom of contract, privity of contract and enforceability of contract terms. The types of contracts I can help with is virtually unlimited and includes, but is not limited to, employment and non-compete agreements, vendor contracts and health care contracts. It is important to have representation when entering into a contractual relationship to avoid disputes in the future.

Employment

Employment law encompasses all areas of the employer/employee relationship. Employment law is governed by thousands of federal and state statutes, administrative regulations, and judicial decisions. Some of the areas in which we specialize include employment discrimination, whether it be race, gender, religion or any protected class and negotiation of severance agreements. If you are an employee or employer in need of assistance on any of these issues, please contact me.

Litigation

Litigation is any lawsuit or other resort to the courts to determine a legal question or matter. Litigation may arise out of any areas of the law listed here. Litigation involves many complex legal issues which require not only a knowledge of the law that governs the dispute, but also the law governing the procedures to be followed in order to properly litigate a claim. There are rules governing who may file a claim, where it must be filed, when it must be filed, and how to file it. If you find yourself or your business involved in litigation, it can be a confusing and intimidating process. I can help.

personal injury

Personal injury law involves injury which is caused by another's failure to use reasonable care. These cases typically arise from automobile and bike collisions, falls, medical malpractice, and virtually any other tort which causes personal injury or wrongful death. I have substantial experience in negotiating these cases to resolution or, if necessary, litigating them through trial.
